Pia Borg

Pia Borg is a Maltese-Australian filmmaker whose nonfiction films explore historical events and psychological phenomena. Her work includes Abandoned Goods, which won the Golden Leopard at Locarno in 2014, Silica, presented in the Maltese Pavilion at the 2017 Venice Biennale, and Demonic, which premiered at Cannes Critics’ Week in 2019. She joined the Experimental Animation faculty at California Institute of the Arts in 2014.
