Shiva Sadegh Asadi

Shiva Sadegh Asadi is an Iranian filmmaker and painter who began her career as a visual artist in 2006. She holds a master's degree in animation from the University of Art in Tehran and has worked in several techniques, from paint on glass to pastels on paper. Her short animated films, including The Kitten (2013), about emotional neglect of a child, and Maned & Macho (2017), a symbolic animation about gender discrimination in a patriarchal family, have screened at festivals worldwide and won multiple awards.
