Michael Faust

Michael Faust, born in Israel in 1980, is a painter, animator and production designer. His first animated short Beton (2006) won several international awards, including a Special Distinction at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival in 2007, and he has worked as a production designer on films including Waltz with Bashir (2008); his work on Legend of Destruction (2021) won an Israeli Film Academy award in 2022. His short Island (2022) received the City of Annecy Award at Annecy in 2023. He teaches art for animation at the Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design and at Sapir College.
