Martina Scarpelli

Martina Scarpelli is an Italian filmmaker and artist based in Viborg, Denmark, working as a director, creative director, animator and producer. She studied Fine Art at the Brera Academy in Milan and animation at the Experimental Center of Cinematography in Turin, and is an alumna of Animation Sans Frontières, Anidox:Lab, Anidox:Residency and the Open Workshop. Her short film Egg received the Cristal for Best First Film at Annecy and the Golden Dove at DOK Leipzig and was shortlisted for the 2020 César. Alongside her own films she directs commissioned work in formats from 2D animation to VR and produces short films by other directors.
