Alexandre Pimenta

Alexandre Pimenta is a Brazilian journalist, documentary filmmaker, editor and cultural producer based in Belo Horizonte. He holds a master's degree in Visual Arts from the Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais and worked as a researcher and conservator of audiovisual collections at the Centro de Referência Audiovisual (CRAV) in Belo Horizonte until 2009. Since 2000 he has co-directed the production company Pimenta Filmes with Beatriz Goulart, making documentaries, producing local editions of a human rights film festival and working on audiovisual preservation, and he has taught photographic conservation and editing at UNA in Belo Horizonte.
