Joanna Kozuch

Joanna Kozuch is a director, visual artist and animator based in Bratislava. She studied fine art in Poznań and at the University of Silesia in Katowice, completed her PhD at the Academy of Performing Arts (VŠMU) in Bratislava and teaches in its animation department. Her short films include Fongopolis, which won the Anča Slovak Award and the Slnko v sieti national film award, and the animated documentary Once There Was a Sea… (2021), which received the student jury award at the Clermont-Ferrand Short Film Festival. She runs the Bratislava animation studio plackartnyj with Boris Šima.
