Zhanna Bekmambetova
Жанна Бекмамбетова
Zhanna Bekmambetova is an animation director, writer and production designer born in Uzbekistan and raised in Moscow. She graduated from VGIK (the Gerasimov Institute of Cinematography) in 2009 as an animation artist, lived and studied in Los Angeles from 2010 to 2013, and has worked in Moscow since 2013. She made her directing debut with the computer-animated short Tweet-Tweet (2018), produced with the visual effects studio CGF, and later directed and wrote the animated shorts Andryusha's Diary (2022) and Son (2025).
