Joanna Priestley
Joanna Priestley is an independent director, producer and animator based in Portland, Oregon, whose experimental work includes the animated feature North of Blue and the iOS app Clam Bake. She studied painting and printmaking at Rhode Island School of Design and the University of California, Berkeley, graduating with honors, and earned an MFA at California Institute of the Arts. Her films are held by the Museum of Modern Art, the Academy Film Archive and the Harvard Film Archive, and have been featured in retrospectives internationally. A founding president of ASIFA Northwest, she presents animation workshops worldwide and runs an internship program at Priestley Motion Pictures.
