Phuong Mai Nguyen

Phuong Mai Nguyen is an animation director, graphic author and screenwriter who graduated from Gobelins in 2009 and La Poudrière in 2011. With Charlotte Cambon de Lavalette, she co-directed the animated series Brazen, adapted from Pénélope Bagieu’s comics. She directed and created the visual design for the feature In Waves, adapted from AJ Dungo’s graphic novel and selected to open Cannes Critics’ Week in 2026.
