Naomi Van Niekerk

Naomi van Niekerk is a South African visual artist, animation filmmaker and theatre director. She works across film, theatre, installation and performance, using sand animation, drawing, printmaking and puppetry. Her short films often interpret South African poetry; An Ordinary Blue Monday won the Jean-Luc Xiberras Award at Annecy. She also leads puppet-making and animation workshops.
