Asami Ike

Asami Ike is a Tokyo-born animation filmmaker and musician whose work combines rhythmic animation, music and projection mapping. She graduated in design from Tokyo University of the Arts in 2011 and completed its graduate animation programme in 2013. She creates animation for children’s television, including NHK E-Tele’s Okaasan to Issho and Inai Inai Baa!, and has developed projection performances for Yokohama’s Kanazawa Zoo. Her independent films have screened at animation festivals in Japan and internationally.
