Géraldine Charpentier

Géraldine Charpentier is a Belgian animation filmmaker based in Brussels. She discovered animation at the age of twelve and chose it as a career because it brought together her interests in drawing and sound. She studied animation at La Cambre in Brussels from 2015 and completed her master's degree there in 2020. Her school films include Devenir (2017), built around a voice-over by Judith Butler, and the animated documentary Récit de soi (2018) on gender identity; after graduating she wrote and directed Messages personnels (2024).
