Screenings are staged as events, often with live music, filmmaker Q&As and afterparties, and programmes are grouped by theme, mood, region or genre and paired with a fitting venue. The series is non-competitive and takes fiction, documentary, experimental and hybrid films of any genre, with an interest in voices from communities rarely seen on screen. Instead of prizes, the Rooftop Filmmakers Fund gives grants to alumni filmmakers for their next projects, and the organisation rents out screening equipment at low cost. Rooftop Films has supported independent film since 1996, and its Summer Series runs each year from May to September. The 2027 Summer Series, the 31st, runs from 21 May to 23 August 2027.",[22
"2021",true,[],[27
"more",[30],11491,[30],[33
"video-visit-malika-zouhali-worrall-2021","Video Visit","Each week, people come to the Brooklyn Public Library to see their incarcerated loved…",23,"https://img.r.vurchel.com/films/_th600/video-visit-malika-zouhali-worrall-2021-251ivhq3.webp?v=8047acb1",[40],"Malika Zouhali-Worrall",[]]
