It was created in 2005 by the Fabienne Colas Foundation as the Festival du Film Haïtien de Montréal and has carried its current name since 2010. The festival operates in both French and English. Its programme brings together fiction features, documentaries, short and medium-length films and tributes, and juries award prizes for the best fiction feature, the best documentary feature and the best short or medium-length film. Beyond screenings, it runs the Black Market industry programme with panels and workshops, the Being Black in Canada programme, screenings in Montreal neighbourhoods and a pop-up market; recent editions combine in-person and online screenings. The 23rd edition takes place from 29 September to 3 October 2027.",false,[25
"2022",[],[29
"more","",[33],11527,[33],[36
"digging-for-life-joaeo-queiroga","Digging for Life","Adiang Assuoe Thomas Germain, known as Tommy, leaves his hometown of Limbe, Cameroon,…",14,"https://img.r.vurchel.com/films/_th600/digging-for-life-joaeo-queiroga-iiipg0b3.webp?v=a166ac35",[43],"João Queiroga",[]]
