Its history begins with a 2009 screening at Red River Theatres in Concord, New Hampshire, in conjunction with SWAN Day. Audience members vote for their three favorite films, while a jury of women musicians associated with MergingArts Global Radio also selects a prize. Winners receive custom art objects made by previous festival filmmakers.
