Founded in 2010, the festival presents international open-call selections alongside programmes assembled by guest curators. Its screenings encompass animation, abstract graphics, image-and-sound experiments, experimental documentaries and unconventional narratives. Touring film programmes extend its work beyond Malaysia. Music performances form part of the festival programme, with workshops and collaborations between local and visiting artists. The team also runs the Serious Play Improv Lab music series and ExScreen screenings.
