Its programme combines international animated shorts and features with commissioned work, documentaries, music videos and virtual reality. Thematic screenings, filmmaker talks and programmes for children sit alongside the competitions. Its industry strand connects Dutch animation talent with professionals through panels, speed dating and the Debutante Ball. The last standalone edition dates are 10–14 October 2018, with State of Mind as its curated theme. From 2019, KLIK and Holland Animation Film Festival form the new Kaboom Animation Festival.
