The festival presents animation, fiction, documentary and experimental short films for young audiences, with programmes introduced and discussed by moderators. Friese, Mo and Neon programmes address different age groups from four years upwards, while school and nursery screenings include educational materials for preparation and follow-up. Organised by Kurzfilm Agentur Hamburg alongside Kurzfilm Festival Hamburg, Mo&Friese also offers filmmaking workshops and the Gib Mir 5! programme for films made by young people up to 18. An additional adult jury awards the ECFA short-film prize.
