The park surrounds a late 19th-century villa and a Victorian-style greenhouse. Daytime screenings and talks take place at Piacenza’s Ricci Oddi Modern Art Gallery, which also houses the festival offices. Concorto dates back to a retrospective in 2002; the non-profit Associazione Concorto runs the festival and film education projects. The international competition accepts shorts of up to 30 minutes across themes and genres. A professional jury awards the Asino d’Oro (Golden Donkey), alongside prizes from young cinephiles and the audience. The programme includes thematic focuses, concerts, industry days and Concorto Kids.
