International competitions and the Up & Coming strand sit alongside Austrian work, curated thematic programmes, retrospectives and discussions. Its programming explores feminist perspectives, political struggles, working conditions, queerness and resistance, including work that connects animation with documentary, new media and expanded cinema. The festival’s first edition dates to 2001. Its organiser is Tricky Matters, the association responsible for the festival since 2026.
