The International Competition has separate feature film and short film sections, and the Korean Short Film Competition presents new Korean short animation. Special Screening, BIAF Present, Twinkle Twinkle FRANCE, Ani-together and Program Class complete the line-up. The festival is organised by the BIAF Organizing Committee; its first edition took place in 1999. Alongside the festival, BIAF runs the Animation Contents Market, a production support programme for animated shorts, special lectures and exhibitions.
