Its programming spans anime, video games, international animation and graphic novels, and it takes place in November at the Best Western Merry Manor Inn. The film side of ANIMAINE dates back to 2019, when the convention introduced a Shorts Competition open to student films, commissioned animation and other animated shorts. The dates for the 2019 edition are 8-10 November 2019; the festival picks 66 shorts out of more than 1,900 submissions.
