Its international short-film selection requires a woman over 50 at the centre of the story or working as writer, director or producer, while submissions are open to filmmakers of all ages and genders. Animation, documentary, drama, comedy and experimental work form part of its programme. Founded by Nuala O’Sullivan, the festival traces its beginnings to the 2015 event Short Hot Flush. Its hybrid format combines a curated cinema programme at Depot in Lewes, East Sussex, with a larger online selection. Filmmaker Q&As, an industry panel and awards accompany the screenings, and a separate short-script competition is supported by Shedunnit Productions. The 2026 cinema festival date is 5 September; its online programme runs from 4 September to 5 October 2026.",[21
"2024",true,[],[26
"more",[29],13538,[],[32
"a-biography-alexander-schellow","A Biography","In an Alzheimer’s clinic, music from a radio prompts an elderly woman in a wheelchair to…",6,"https://img.r.vurchel.com/films/_th600/a-biography-alexander-schellow-hjryi118.webp?v=b4bf47c7",[39],"Alexander Schellow",[]]
