Its official selection leans towards unconventional, experimental and minimalist work by emerging independent filmmakers, covering narrative and documentary features, shorts, animation and experimental film, with a separate award for Italian cinema. Screenings are free: an open-air opening night at Campo San Polo is followed by indoor programmes at Casa del Cinema, and part of the selection streams online on Whush. Every selected filmmaker receives the Tarkovski Grant, a package of submission-fee waivers for partner festivals. The festival is a project of Velvet Room and The Bigger Screen; its archive of award winners goes back to 2016. The 2027 edition is dated 23–27 August 2027.",[20],{"year":21,"hasAwards":15,"hasSelection":22},"2022",true,[],[25],{"key":26,"title":9,"filmIds":27},"more",[28],1098,[],[31],{"entryId":28,"urlTitle":32,"status":7,"title":33,"synopsis":34,"duration":35,"hasFullFilm":15,"hasTrailer":15,"image":36,"directors":37,"series":14},"beauty-the-beasts-aggie-pak-yee-lee-hong-kong-2021","Beauty & the Beasts","One night, a lady meets a group of lovely beasts — gigantic, slimy and cheesy ones.
