Organised by Uşak University’s Faculty of Communication in Turkey, the festival dates back to 2014. Its three competitions cover international shorts, Turkish shorts and Turkish student films, with fiction, documentary, animation and experimental work represented in the programme. The Winged Seahorse Awards take their name and emblem from a gold brooch associated with Uşak’s Karun Treasure. Screenings are accompanied by workshops, filmmaker discussions, masterclasses and retrospectives.
