The 2 Minutes Short Film Award carries €1,500, and the Expanded Media Award carries €1,500. The Buggles Award for music videos from Baden-Württemberg comprises a €1,000 jury prize and a €500 online audience prize. There is no submission fee and no premiere requirement. Works in languages other than German or English require German or English subtitles. Previously submitted works are excluded, except selected works that could not screen because of competing premiere requirements. Advertising works and trailers are ineligible. The International Short Film Competition accepts films and videos of any genre up to 30 minutes. The current participation requirements set a maximum of 2 minutes 30 seconds for the 2 Minutes Short Film Award, with no age limit. Longer films may be selected for non-competitive special programmes.

Expanded Media accepts installations, net art, interactive environments, apps, games, augmented, mixed and virtual reality works, media performances and interventions in exhibition or public spaces. Entries require documentation, plans and technical requirements including equipment insurance values. Expanded Live-Acts is a non-competitive programme for analogue film practices, audiovisual performances, immersive XR and digital sound. Each section has its own selection committee and each prize an independent jury. Competition confirmations are due by 30 November 2026; screening copies must reach the office by 15 December 2026. Digital copies are supplied as MOV or MP4 rather than DCP through the festival-provided link. Competition works receive no screening fee; special-programme fees are agreed individually. The official participation requirements govern selection and presentation.","https://filmwinter.de/",[42,46,50,53,57,60
"Email","wanda@wand5.de","Wand 5 e.V. festival office and general enquiries
"Phone","+49 711 9933980","Festival office
"Address","Wand 5 e.V., Wagnerstraße 26, 70182 Stuttgart, Germany
"Website","https://apply.filmwinter.de/de","Festival submission form
"https://www.instagram.com/stuttgarterfilmwinter/","Official Instagram
"https://www.facebook.com/filmwinter/","Official Facebook",1792449813]
