Prizes are supplied by short-film professionals and technical partners. Some prizes take the form of a film acquisition, so entrants must inform the festival of any prior purchase or pre-purchase. The festival publishes its 2025 prize framework as an indication only, subject to changes for 2026.","For the 2026 edition, submissions are reserved for European first films in live-action fiction, with a maximum running time of 30 minutes and a 2025 or 2026 copyright. A first film may be a self-produced debut, a first professionally produced film, or a school film. Films must not have been submitted to an earlier Brest edition. Entries are made through Shortfilmdepot. The European and French competitions require productions or co-productions mainly from Europe and France respectively; the Brittany competition accepts first films shot and/or produced in Brittany. Screening formats are DCP or HD video. Non-competitive sections may include later films selected through scouting. Since 2026, young-audience programmes have no separate call for submissions and combine submitted and scouted films.","https://www.filmcourt.fr/?lang=en",[45,49,53,57,60
"Email","brestfestival@filmcourt.fr","General festival enquiries — Association Côte Ouest
"Phone","+33 (0)2 98 44 03 94","Association Côte Ouest festival office
"Address","Association Côte Ouest, 3 rue Amiral Linois, BP 31247, 29212 Brest Cedex 1, France","Festival office and correspondence
"brestguest@filmcourt.fr","Professional accreditation — Manon Laurent
"Website","https://www.filmcourt.fr/Espace-Pro-495.html","Professional information and accreditation",1792287297]
