A European short-film competition forms the centre of the Contis Film Festival, alongside feature-film previews, thematic screenings and meetings with filmmakers. Its programme also includes a Nouvelle-Aquitaine short-film competition, a nano-film contest, outdoor screenings and activities for children. Rooted in Contis-Plage in the Landes, France, the festival dates back to 1996. The association Contis Culture et Cinéma organises the event and supports filmmakers through Talents en Court Nouvelle-Aquitaine and the Maison Bleue writing residency.

The dates for the 30th edition are 18–22 June 2025, with screenings at the Cinéma de Léon in Léon following the temporary relocation from Contis. The festival is suspended for 2026.
