Main Competition accepts productions or co-productions from Albania, Armenia, Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czechia, Cyprus, Estonia, Georgia, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Kosovo, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Moldova, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Switzerland, Turkey and Ukraine. The Elephant accepts international short animated films for children. European Young Talents accepts student films made at educational institutions in the EU, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Georgia, Iceland, Kosovo, Moldova, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Norway, Serbia, Switzerland, Turkey, Ukraine and the UK. VR@Animateka accepts animated VR works in 6DOF, 3DOF, interactive 360° and 360° video formats. Applications are online through the official Filmchief form and require a preview and complete film information. The 2026 submission deadline is 15 July; selected films require DCP or HD screening copies by 1 October. Submitted copies remain in the festival archive for internal viewing.
