The international short film competition awards a Golden Dragon for best film and Silver Dragons for documentary, animation and fiction. The International Documentary Debut Competition awards its best film’s director. The National Competition awards Golden Hobby Horses for documentary films over 30 minutes, documentary films up to 30 minutes, animation and fiction. Other awards include the Audience Award, the Dragon of Dragons lifetime achievement award for documentary and animation, and prizes approved by the organisers and funded by partners or institutions.","For the 67th edition in 2027, competition entries are films made in 2026 or 2027 and not publicly screened before 1 June 2026. International documentary and documentary debut competitions accept films of at least 50 minutes; the debut competition is for a director’s first film. The international short film competition accepts documentary, animated and fiction films up to 30 minutes. The National Competition accepts Polish documentaries of any length and Polish animation and fiction up to 30 minutes. Competitions require a Polish premiere; world or international premieres are preferred as specified in the regulations. Non-English films require English subtitles. Submit through the official online form with a private preview link or uploaded file. Entry fees are EUR 18 up to 30 minutes and EUR 33 above 30 minutes, with exemptions for Polish films and specified countries. Deadlines are 30 November 2026 for films completed before 31 October 2026; later productions have deadlines of 31 January 2027 for international entries and 15 February 2027 for Polish entries. Selected films require DCP screening copies by 30 April 2027. Online screenings are limited to Poland and arranged with rights holders.
