The festival also supports new work through the SiRAR scheme, which pairs support for the production of a first short film with support for its original score.","For the 2027 competitions, films must be a director’s first, second or third work, completed after September 2025. Short films may run up to 30 minutes and must feature original music or a specific creative treatment of sound; works without an original score require a statement explaining the sound approach. Short film categories are fiction, animation and documentary, with submission through Shortfilmdepot. Features must run at least 60 minutes and have an original score; fiction, animation, documentary and experimental films are eligible, with submission through FestiCine. French and English synopses and appropriate subtitle materials are required for shorts; selected films must supply the requested screening copies and dialogue materials.
