The main ENIMATION award is the Little Elephant. The special-topic programme has separate screenings for children and youth, with audience voting for the best film in each group. Winning films from the international and Slovenian selections are nominated for the Youth Cinema Award of the Youth Cinema Network.","2026 regulations: submissions are international short films of up to 20 minutes, in any film or animation technique, completed after 1 January 2025 and not previously screened at ENIMATION. The competition is for children and youth; the submission categories list MINI (under 10), MIDI (11–14) and MAXI (15–19), with separate international and Slovenian selections, plus the special topic Out of the box / Izven okvirjev. Group films use the age category of the majority of their authors. Slovenian filmmakers may enter both international and Slovenian selections. The film presentation must include the authors’ ages.

Applications and MPG4 film copies are submitted through FilmFreeway, with a separate complete application for each film. The published submission deadline is 5 August 2026. The main age categories are free; the special-topic late standard fee is €5, with free student submission. A preselection panel selects ten films per category. Selection results are communicated through FilmFreeway and email. Copies of all submitted films, including films outside the selection, enter the festival archive.

Guest invitations depend on the edition’s funding and cover at most one representative and two children or young people per film. Invitations are not transferable, and guests pay their travel costs. The organisers appoint an international jury. Promotional material may be made available to press, guests and audiences; selected films may appear in later festival presentations, and online publication requires the authors’ permission. Participation constitutes acceptance of the regulations. Unspecified matters are decided by the organisers; the Slovenian regulations prevail in disputes.","https://www.enimation.si/",[40,44,48,52,56
"Email","info@enimation.si","General festival enquiries
"Phone","+386 41 556 332","Festival contact
"Address","Društvo za razvoj filmske kulture, Glavni trg 22, 2000 Maribor, Slovenia","Festival organiser
"Website","https://filmfreeway.com/ENIMATIONfestival","Film submissions and regulations
"https://www.facebook.com/enimation.eu","Official festival profile and online screenings",1792519916]
