Festival awards include the Frutteto – Rastrello d’Oro, Germogli – Innaffiatoio d’Oro, the special jury prize dedicated to Maria Adriana Prolo – Zappino d’Oro, jury honourable mentions, and the audience award – Vanga d’Oro. The 2026 edition also includes the Asilo Bianco, Best Beast and Image Ouverte awards; the Image Ouverte prize consists of a screening at the Image Ouverte festival in Paris.","For the 2026 edition, the international competition accepts films of any genre concerning rural life and work, or the relationship between people and nature in a rural setting. Films must be made in 2024 or later and run no longer than 30 minutes, including credits. Previously released and unreleased works are eligible; each filmmaker may submit up to two films. Frutteto is the international short film competition; Germogli is the international animation competition for children and young people. Entries are accepted through FilmFreeway or the festival’s online form. Selected filmmakers supply a screening copy to the festival’s specifications. Additional Best of or touring screenings require the filmmaker’s consent.
