The Festival has four categories: Fiction, Documentaries, Animation, Experimental. The Application Form to submit your film is available on www.vrefest.com. Deadline: October 15th 2019. An international Jury will decide the winners of the competition, whose works will receive a Special Award. Participation in the competition is free of charge. RULES & REGULATION FOR SUBMISSION TO THE 2019 VRE ROME, 5-9 NOVEMBER 2019 The international festival VRE - Virtual Reality Experience want to encourage the diverse creative community of storytellers and technologists to submit works and interactive projects created with the new technologies VR. DATES OF THE FESTIVAL From 5th to 9th November. CATEGORIES ● Fiction ● Documentary ● Experimental ● Animation SUBMISSION a) Submission is free b) The Artist who want to participate are requested to provide access to the distribution platforms of their VR product or provide a link to download the product and fill out the application form online at http:\u002F\u002Fwww.vrefest.com no later than on October 1st 2019. Official selection Please ensure that your work’s submission status on your FilmFreeway account is listed as “In Consideration” no later than 11:59pm on the final day of the current deadline. The authors of the selected works included in the competition will receive an official communication from VRE, and should send the complete documentation to segreteria@vrefest.com including: ● application form completed at the time of registration; ● for the official catalogue: summary of the product plot (300 characters); author's bio-filmography (300 characters); four photographs in digital format (one of the author and three stage photos) with a minimum resolution of 300 dpi which can be used for publication on the site and in the catalogue free of charge; director's statement on the film; ● video extracts from the film to promote the film on social media channels and website of the festival; ● any promotional material (press kit in digital format, poster) ● access to the product provider (streaming and download platform) SCREENINGS a) The schedule and times of the screenings are responsibility of the Festival b) The Festival will publish a catalogue of products presented in the competition AWARDS All the Festival prizes are awarded to the authors of the winning works ● Best VR production: Best VR audiovisual production among all categories ● Best Fiction ● Best Documentary ● Best Animation ● Best Experimental JURY An international jury of professionals will evaluate the works taking into account: ● originality of the work ● quality of images used ● quality of the subject ● quality of the chosen music ● quality of application of the new narrative techniques of VR \u002F 360 ° LEGAL ASPECTS To participate in the festival you must be of age (18 years). With the registration of the work at the festival, the owner \u002F author transfers to the VRE - Virtual Reality Experience the authorization to project the work on the days of the festival and in other events related to it, post the entire video or extracts from it in the site and in the pages of the Festival's Social Networks. The organization of the festival assumes no responsibility for any theft or damage to the works on the social platform. This regulation is written in Italian and in English. In the event of interpretative problems, the Italian version is authoritative. The owner \u002F author of the work declares to know the copyright laws and raises VRE from any liability due to the violation of these rights by the owner \u002F author. Respecting the rules, copyright falls under the responsibility of the author participating in the competition.
