Dutch Cultural Media Fund
About
The Dutch Cultural Media Fund, known in Dutch as Mediafonds, supported the development and production of cultural programmes for Dutch national and regional public broadcasters. Its funding covered radio, television and digital media, including drama, documentaries, children’s productions, animation and projects combining different forms of storytelling. Alongside grants, the fund organised initiatives supporting talent and collaboration across the cultural and broadcasting sectors. Its publications included the magazine 609 cultuur en media. The fund was abolished on 1 January 2017, after which the NPO introduced earmarked funding for Dutch cultural media production.
