About
59 is a multi-award-winning design studio based in London and New York, known today as 59 Studio and formerly as 59 Productions. Founded in Edinburgh by Leo Warner, soon joined by co-founder Mark Grimmer, it conceives, designs and delivers large-scale story-driven artworks, stage shows, events and immersive experiences, working across architecture, animation, video, light, sound, music and technical design. Its work includes video design for War Horse, animation and projection design for the opening ceremony of the London 2012 Olympics and the design of the David Bowie exhibition at the V&A. 59 is a founding studio of the design agency Journey and runs Lightroom, a permanent venue in King's Cross, London.
