Illyés Academy of Art
About
Illyés Művészeti Szakképző Akadémia (Illyés Academy of Art) is the art vocational training unit of the Budaörsi Illyés Gyula Gimnázium, Szakgimnázium és Technikum, a secondary school in Budaörs, Hungary. Since 2011 it has run full-time, state-funded post-secondary vocational courses in moving image and animation, later adding photography and ceramics, taught largely by practising artists; many of its animation students go on to study at MOME in Budapest. The school's art community also gave rise to the Primanima animation festival and the BABtér contemporary art centre.
