Stiftelsen Dam (the Dam Foundation) is one of Norway's largest foundations, granting funds to health and research projects run by voluntary health and rehabilitation organisations, with the aim of better health through participation, activity and mastery. It is financed by a share of the profits of the state lottery operator Norsk Tipping. Established in 1993 as Stiftelsen Helse og Rehabilitering, it later took its current name, an acronym of the Norwegian words for participation, activity and mastery.
