Connecting films to audiences

We are a non-profit startup working to create the most comprehensive database of independent films and film festivals, connecting filmmakers with fans and industry leaders. Think IMDb, but exclusively for festival films - with a "Where to Watch" link if the film is already out, and a "Get Notified" button if the film is not yet available for streaming.

Filmmaker, unlock your film's full potential!

During festival screenings, films experience their peak public interest — a time when audience engagement and excitement are at their highest.

Yet, this significant opportunity for attention often remains unexplored, as films typically make their online debut long after their festival appearances.

It’s not just about lost views; it’s about missing out on building a lasting relationship with your audience, the support and engagement that could fuel your next projects.

Vurchel ensures your audience's interest is retained. We alert your fans when the film is ready to stream, maintaining momentum from festivals for wider reach and engagement. With Vurchel, your film's buzz isn't just preserved — it's amplified.

Kaboom Distribution

About

Kaboom Distribution, formerly KLIK Distribution (KLIK! Distribution Service), is the festival distribution service for animated short films of Kaboom Animation Festival in the Netherlands. It was launched in Amsterdam in 2013 by KLIK! Amsterdam Animation Festival, which later merged with the Holland Animation Film Festival into Kaboom. The service draws up a festival strategy with filmmakers and handles submissions, deadlines, festival correspondence and delivery of screening copies to festivals and institutes in the Netherlands and worldwide. It is led by Ursula van den Heuvel, who previously ran festival distribution at the Netherlands Institute for Animation Film (NIAf) for twelve years; its catalogue has included films such as 'A Single Life' by Job, Joris & Marieke.
