Trukitrek Company
About
Trukitrek is a theatre and film company founded on the island of Minorca in 1998 by artists from different backgrounds. Its shows combine gestural theatre with puppetry, from classic string puppets to direct manipulation and the "humanette" style, where characters are half human and half puppet, and often integrate animated film; the company has toured to 42 countries. Its film branch, Trukitrek Films, produces fiction and animated films, including music videos and the feature documentary The Guardian of Stories, using puppetry, recycled materials and artisanal techniques.
